When will we see the next Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer?

The teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens dropped a few months ago around Thanksgiving, and became hugely popular and influential among the entire Internet. Though it was only composed of a short series of action shots, each of those shots is now instantly synonymous with the film itself. Especially the African-American stormtrooper named Finn (which sparked a huge racial debate), the rolling astromech droid called BB-8, and of course, the red crossguard lightsaber carried by Kylo Ren, which sparked a huge debate about whether it is or isn't awesome (spoiler alert: IT IS!!!)

But after the various Internet debates, the next question was clear: when will we see the first FULL trailer, hopefully with some of the original Star Wars cast?

First people assumed there would be a Super Bowl trailer, but that never happened, unless it was cleverly disguised as a car commercial. But very recently, starwars.com hinted at what may be the release date of the next trailer.

On February 13, they announced two special guests for this year's Star Wars Celebration (a big Star Wars convention started in 1999):
JJ Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy will kick off the show in a big way on Thursday morning, April 16, at 10:00 a.m. This will be a day long remembered.
Considering that JJ Abrams is the director of The Force Awakens, I think it's safe to assume that they will be presenting something related to a future Star Wars movie. Not only is this likely to include a new trailer, we might also get more information about the character spin-off films; specifically, which characters will get an entire film all to themselves.
